Special Thanks To A PAWSOME Donor
Meet one of our newest donors and the honorary mascot of NCPA Foundation, Charlie. Charlie, a first generation golden doodle, made a generous gift through his Donor Advised Fund to the Foundation and joined our Partners in Pharmacy Giving Society at the end of December 2024. We are grateful to Charlie and other donors like him for making a commitment to our organization at this level.

Generous Support for Disaster Relief
Kingdom Investment Holdings has committed another $10,000 to support our Disaster Relief Fund. 100% of dollars donated to our disaster relief fund go directly to pharmacies impacted by disasters. Kingdom Investment Holdings and Richie’s Specialty Pharmacy stand alongside the profession of pharmacy nationwide.

Special thanks to Richie for committing major gift level support to our mission of improving community-based healthcare access by supporting efforts that promote the sustainability and growth of independent community pharmacists. We couldn’t do this important work without donors like you!
Medication Disposal For Your Pharmacy
Past medication return programs around the country have found that as many as 40-49 percent of customers returning medications for disposal were from other pharmacies, presenting a tremendous opportunity for customer conversion while making a difference for your community with a safe solution to improper drug disposal and potential drug misuse.
NCPA members receive a discount on the Sharps TAKEAWAY Environmental Return System™, a safe, easy method to dispose of unused medications. Containers are available in either 10- or 20-gallon drop boxes or convenient postage pre-paid envelopes. If you are ready to order, reach out to Sharps.
Since 2009, Sharp Compliance has collected and treated over 4.6 million pounds of unused medications, helping to prevent pharmaceutical waste from entering the environment and our water supply. Sharps Compliance's TakeAway Environmental Return Systems are specially designed for the collection, transportation, and destruction of non-controlled, non-hazardous medications from clinical samples to many over-the-counter medications. Each system includes instructions for proper packaging and prepaid postage with a self-addressed label affixed to the shipping box to ensure an easy return.
The NCPA Foundation receives funding whenever NCPA members make a purchase for the items Sharps has discounted for members. If you would like to try the envelopes, please reach out to the Foundation, we are happy to ship them to you! Easily join the program by completing the form on our website:
